What Ecommerce Brands Should Put Inside Their Packaging
Boxes are only one part of ecommerce packaging. Here is how labels, inserts, stickers and shoppers can create a stronger delivery experience.
For an ecommerce customer, the delivery is often the first time the brand becomes physical. The box matters, but the experience is created by the combination of packaging components.
The outer package
Choose a box or mailer appropriate for the product, delivery method and level of protection required. Branding can range from a fully printed box to a cleaner kraft format with labels or stickers.
Product labels
Labels make the product feel finished and can carry important information such as product name, size, variant, usage details or barcode information.
Thank-you or instruction inserts
A small printed card can thank the customer, explain product care, provide instructions or guide the buyer toward the next action. It is often one of the easiest ways to add personality without changing the entire box.
Brand stickers and seals
Stickers can close tissue paper, brand a plain mailer or add a small visual touch to the unboxing process.
Retail shoppers
If an ecommerce business also sells at exhibitions, pop-ups or a physical location, branded paper shoppers help carry the same identity offline.
